Topclass Experimental Laboratory worldwide

20+ years of history, top experimental laboratory program for high school students,

originated from the University of Gottingen in Germany.

Entering national key laboratory, guided by front-line researchers to

participate in scientic research hands-on experiments. Upgrade research skills.

6 hours of intense interaction a day

Introduction

XLAB aims to provide high quality science time platform for Chinese high school students and cultivate their scientific research thinking and exploration spirit.  In the course of this project, experienced front-line scientific researchers teach and guide experiments in person. Students can concentrate and focus on the classroom knowledge supplement and improvement, and can conduct operation hours in the national advanced laboratory.  To a large extent, it creates opportunities for students to discover natural laws and verify them with experiments.

Why Choose XLAB?

HISTORY

Founded by an esteem scientist Professor Eva Maria Neher 25 years ago, which currently is one of Germany's largest student laboratories for the STEM subjects physics, chemistry, biology as well as computer science and this extracurricular educational institution has received several awards for the underlying concept. XLAB establish a strategic parntership with ASDAN China at 2018 to coach ASDAN China to expand XLAB programs under a consistent brand and with similar set up.

XLAB hopes to let more people learn and experience the fun of science, encourage them to explore the mysteries of science, and think about how to use science to solve human problems.  Therefore, the topics of XLAB are not simple physics, chemistry, biology and medicine, but more interdisciplinary frontier topics, such as genetic engineering, medical research, nanobiology, pharmaceutical chemistry, etc.

SUBJECT

EXPERIMENT

Experiments are at the heart of XLAB, and each participant will have the opportunity to enter an advanced laboratory, conduct a series of relevant experiments and data analysis safely under the guidance of the tutor, and complete the experimental report.  More than six hours of scientific research a day can not only improve students' scientific knowledge and logical thinking, but also train their concentration and endurance.  Students will have the opportunity to experience the work and status of researchers and seriously consider whether to choose a research direction in their future education.

XLAB's curriculum is unique in that it contains four key modules: subject guidance and topic thinking, scientific research guidance, experimental operation, experimental data analysis, and scientific research report writing.  Through the study of the four modules, students are bound to have further thinking on the subject.  All courses are taught in small classes of 10-25 students.

CURRICULUM

FACULTY

Since the topics and contents of XLAB exceed high school cntent and are "specialized" in a certain research field, the project needs to invite scientific research experts in each field to conduct experimental design and teaching.  XLAB China has obtained academic support from relevant research institutions and designed content according to XLAB's teaching methods and experimental requirements to provide In-depth scientific research and academic experience for Chinese students.

Students will receive two authoritative certificates: XLAB Program Participation Certificate, which specifies the content of the experiment and is signed by the supervisor of the research institution providing academic support;  Students will complete an academic report containing experimental results and data analysis to apply for the 30 credit hours' Science Short Course certificate from ASDAN, the UK quality Education Development Accreditation Authority, which is officially recommended by UCAS.

CERTIFICATE

SCIENTIFIC

For any students who have plans or are carrying out EPQ or research papers in science, XLAB provides a rare scientific research scene for students to practice their research plans and participate in hands-on scientific research.  Laboratory reports can be used as part of individual research results.
