Grameen Bank Rural Economic Research

Grameen bank was founded by economist Muhammad Yunus - father of micronance, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate. As the world's first financial service for lower-income people with women as its primary target customers, it is also the world's largest and the most successful financial institution in micro finance. At Grameen China headquarters, Lukou village, the biggest soybeans production place , The program aim to deeply investigate China's rural economic development by field research. Students will focus on core issues such as low-income women, and understand the great impact of Grameen model on rural poverty alleviation and social development in Lukou village. Research papers are required to produce under the guidance of professional tutors. Excellent rural research reports and multimedia records will be collected included in Grameen Special Issue on rural economic revitalization.
